General Instructions
Take physician or pharmacist advice before taking any other medicine.
If you are using other medications for pimples like clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, erythromycin or they may be used in the morning, and this medicine may be applied at night time.
Please stop using this gel immediately, If you have a hypersensitivity skin reaction.
If you have applied this gel by mistake into the eyes, mouth, nostrils or mucous membrane, wash immediately with warm water.
General warnings
Avoid contact with the mouth or nostrils, eyes and avoid other very thoughtful areas of the body.
If you experience sensitivity or irritation when applying for this drug, stop using it and tell your pharmacist/physician. You may be requested to use Adapalene gel less often or to stop using it for a short time.
When not to use?
Do not apply this medication to cuts, abrasion or eczematous skin.
Do not discontinue this medication without doctor’s advice.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
The USFDA has categorized this medicine as Pregnancy Category C. There are no well-controlled studies conducted in pregnant ladies treated with Adapalene Gel. Thus, Adapen 0.1% Gel should be utilized during pregnancy only if the potential use justifies the potential risk to the fetus. If you become pregnant while using common Adapen Gel 0.1%, the treatment must be discontinued, and you should notify your physician/pharmacist as soon as possible for a further follow-up
Breastfeeding
It isn’t known whether this gel is excreted in human milk following use of Adapalene gel. Because many medicines are evacuated in human milk, caution should be exercised when Adapen Gel 0.1% is administered to a nursing woman. Don’t use this drug without telling your pharmacist/physician if you are breast-feeding a baby.
If you are breastfeeding or you think you could be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your physician or pharmacist for advice before using this gel.
